Endorsement letter for Athena

Athena for National Hero!
A hero is someone who does good. A hero is someone who is kind. A hero can be different for anyone. A hero can be who ever you like! In this paragraph I will tell you why Athena should be the National Hero and not Poseiden.
Athena should be the National Hero because she steps out of her way to help Odysseus. In this quote, "... Olympian Zeus, have you no care for him in your lofty heart? Did he never win your favor with sacrifices burned beside the ships on the broad plain of Troy? Why, Zeus, why so dead set against Odysseus?" (I, 79), it shows she is taking the time and arguing with Zeus for Odysseus. Poseiden on the other hand just ruins Odysseus's life by making it harder for him to get him because his son was complaining. He didn't even hear Odysseus' side.
Would you want someone that only listens to one person? Or would you rather have someone that not only listens to people but helps them out? It's more easy to live when you are offered a chance. This is why Athena would make an amazing National Hero.
