Outside Reading

I am still reading the book A Summer To Die. What has happened is that the girl ended up getting a studio to develop her film and teaches her good neighbor ow to do it too. But her sister ends up having a very bad rare illness and goes to the hospital a lot. new neighbors move in too and they become very good friends, they are also pregnant.

Outside Reading

I am reading the book a A Summer To Die, it is about a family that moves to a quieter area so their father can finish a book, the younger daughter is a very artistic person that meets her neighbors and become very good friends with them. Her older sister is a beautiful popular girl thats all caught up in cheerleading and that stuff. But her older sister has a weird cold and the girl loves taking pictures but has no place to develop them.

Outside Reading

I read the book Fade which is the sequal to Wake. Right now she is helping the FBI find a sexual preditor that could possibly be at the school. Her Boyfriend doesn't like the idea. Things arn't going as planned she learned things about her powers that are not good outcomes at all.

Outside Reading

I am still reading the book Fanboy and gothgirl, right now he got into a fight with his long time best friends (popular) and he also gets into a fight with goth girl. While all this happens something goes wrong with his plan for his graphic novel!

Outside Reading

I am now reading The Adventures of Goth Girl and Fanboy, it is about a kid that is a complete geek reject that loves comics and is writing a comic to show this famous comic writer that is comming to town to a comic convention. But at home he is not liking his family, his mom divorced and she remarried to a man he does not like. But while all this is happening he meets this girl that is all goth.

Outside Reading

I am still reading the book wake. In the book she sees this freaky dream and ends up connecting it to her friend that she likes more than a friend. But when they finally become a thing, her other friend (Which happens to be popular) hears some rumors which arn't good. So she gets into a fight with him and now becomes very depressed.

Outside Reading

I read the book Wake, it is about a girl who can see peoples dreams but pays a price with it. She is not a liked person, she is more of a reject, but she meets a boy, another reject and ends up becoming really good friends with him. Her mom is an alcoholic so she basically has no home, well does but no one to care about her except her and her two friends.

Outside Reading:

Love is a very powerful thing one can obtain, love can be shown in many ways, such as a kiss or hug, or giving flowers, helping some, and such. It can also mean different things, such as love for a friend or love as a relationship. Love is very important in life.

Outside Reading:

War. War is depressing. A lot of things cause war, such as religion, politics, and other bigish stuff. Sometimes people are just immature and make war for their own greedy selves. Would be nice to have some piece and not have to worry. :/

Outside Reading:

This linky I found for Colonization talks about how a lot of places are undeveloped or not even developed. They have a government, but they lack money. Colonization effects the farming, there are different ways people farm in Africa. In Africa they did gain their political independence, but do not have very well developed skills in that area. But there are still some good effects from colonization such as, people are getting a better education/job opportunities.

GLOBAL ISSUE! There are butt load of those. A good one to talk about is the most common, global warming, because it effects EVERYONE whether you frickin' like it or not. It's always going to be in your face. The only way to turn it around is to be a good citizen of the world and not liter, chop down poor trees, build unnecessary buildings, crap like building unnecessary buildings is just so unnecessary, my gosh a good example of an unnecessary building that has been built is that dumb container store, !@#$% It just proves that we have a bunch of unnecessary crap that we don't need, nor have room for! That lot that that building was built on could have been a nice place to lay down some grass. Oh but nooo god forbid we need a container store 'cause we are running out of room. WELL YOUR BLOODY BUILDING IS A WASTE OF FRICKIN' SPACE!

Okay, screw the finding of text. I will write one of my ideas and opinions on holidays'n stuff, and THEN we can say I found it in my brain! I'll use Christmas as an example for a holiday, because it is very common around the world. Back in the good old respectable days when kids did not make fun and turn dear sweet Santa in to a perverted symbol, we would make sure to be a good child and celebrate the birth of Jesus. But now us greedy kids just want presents and do not give a flying fart in outer space if we are good or bad. We've turned the image of christmas in to a greedy present thirsty day. Some people don't even celebrate it with their family! They just go out to the movies or something with their friends. But thankfully there are still some good family's out there.

For the blog about Bollywood I am going to be bouncing my opinions off from Bride and Prejudice (good movie, if you do not mind me adding). Bollywood is good at making entertaining movies. They follow a lot of the Hollywood ideas. But theirs are still cheesy, but heck cheesy is my kind of movie. But I do have to point out that they do not make good transitions to songs in their musicals. No seriously. They just randomly out of nowhere start dancing and singing.. And then they decide they needs some sousaphones or other stuff so they throw that stuff in and pretty soon it's a great big mosh pit.

Outside Reading:

Just go on to Wikipedia and type food, clothes, etc. in or something along that line and you will get a bunch of stuff.
Everywhere food is different, you drink a Coke here, one in Mexico, chances are they are going to taste differently. That is because they are not made the same, or so I've heard from a fellow friend. But food too in general is different, for example with my experience from going to Malaysia they eat everything and think about food 24/7, no like legit. They have a lot of spicy food, they even eat frogs! Over here if a frog was presented U.S. We would either be like Okay um BARF or be like "Woah okay seriously?? Is this a JOKE?! BRING ME MY MCY D'S AND POUR ON THE GREESE AND RUB ON THE FAT!".

Outside Reading:

Okay seriously? Who needs a text about religion? Mr. Cheng, you should make these blogs like questions, and then we give our opinion... OR OOOOO YOU SHOULD MAKE YOUR OWN BLOG WITH A QUESTION AND THEN PEOPLE CAN HAVE DISCUSSIONS ON THE BLOGS!!! ooo that would be so sick. You should take it into deep consideration.
Okay but anyways moving on to the topic about religion, and belief stuff, all that great stuff.
In my opinion, Religion is a BIG FAT HUGE thing in the world. If I had to choose three important things about the world, religion would be in the top three. No like seriously, we have wars, politics based on it, morals based on it, fear of being struck down by a bolt of lightning from God, if we create a sin.

I found a linky about Gender roles'n stuff.
It talks about how the gender roles can be defined on our behavior
and attitudes expected from the different genders. It also talks about how much it has changed
through the years. Which I completely agree, because way back when lady's did not have nearly
as many (LIKE NONE!) rights as the men.

I'll tell you strait up right now, that I am not going to find a text. I guess that defeats the purpose for outside reading.. but dude, like seriously being assigned something to read and then blog about defeats the purpose of frickin' OUTSIDE reading. But to go on about the topic of a different culture of mine, I guess an example of that could be a tribe somewhere out in the middle of nowhere in a different continent/country. Because here in America, such as myself. Yeah we are lazy. Where as those other people they have to work work eat work some more eat work sleep work and so on and so forth. They would DIE if they did not do their jobs. Unlike us.. We would just get fat, live on the streets, beg, get diabetes all that good stuff.

I sort of went out of order, I am supposed to find an article about hope. Again I am too lazy to find one so here goes nothing. I am hoping that Mr. Cheng will rethink how the blogs should be done. I am hoping he will say we can read whatever we want and not have a specific topic to blog about. I am hoping that Mr. Cheng will read this and be like, "Oh, I understand now. Class, you all can blog and read about what ever you want!" That would be so cool. I am really hoping.

Outside reading:

Change, I am supposed to write about change. Well I do not feel like finding an article. So I am going to write about my opinion on the change of the way the blogs are assigned now. I personally prefer the old way were we can blog about what ever we want. This new way you have us do yeah that defeats the purpose of outside reading in my opinion. Outside reading is for what ever we dang well want to read.

I was reading a story off a random site about a Breast Cancer survivor. 1 month after her father died she she was diagnosed with stage 2 of breast cancer. She is an assistant volleyball and head softball coach at Rowland Hall St. Marks. So when the kids found out what had happened to her they all wore pink ribbons with her name on them. She only missed 13 days of school. But after all the stuff she had to do for it, she lost her hair. Although that was more towards her advantage because they then found a tumor which still sucks majorly. Well now she is 4.5 years out of cancer. So it was tough but with the help of her friends and family she got through it.

I read an article from Fox News, although it is kinda old (May of '08) but it is about a cyclone with winds as high as 120 mph. Because of this storm a lot of things are flooded including rice fields.

I read an interesting article on Kare11 about a man driving his truck into a Planned Parenthood building and ramed it again two more times. Then got out of his vehicle and waved around a cross and yelled out bible versus. The man said that Jesus told him to do it. Thankfully no one was hurt.
I think this is pretty crazy, and would be scary to be in there when that happened.

Outside reading:

Another story I read on Kare11 (yes another from Kare11, I love Kare11) was about how the health officials want the parents to get their kids checked to make sure they do not have HiB (Haemophilus influenza type B). A lot of kids are getting this illness. There is also a shortage in the vaccination so doctors are skipping the fourth shot so that there will still be some for more people. This is a big problem in Minnesota because we generally only have one or two cases a year.
I think this would be kind of scary if it was super darn diddly dooper big and spreading fast. Well it's still kind of scary, because I might have it and not even know it. I could die!

Outside reading:

On Kare11 there was a story of people getting injured on a flight to Honolulu. A total of nine people where injured with hip, head and neck injuries. These injuries were caused by severe turbulence. They are in stable but serious condition. There was a total of 285 passengers on the flight.
This would be very scary to have happen, because if I were on that plane I would be freaking out thinking that we are going to crash, and then there would be panic everywhere. Although the story did not say anything about panic, so I guess people were very mature about it all. I would not like to be on plane if something like this were to happen, but who does? :)

Outside reading:

I read another artical from Kare11 about a guy hitting a pedestrian. They are still trying to identify who the pedestrian is. The driver had a green light when he was crossing and hit him. The victim is in critical condition and he did not have any id on him. The driver did stop at the scene, so the charges are most likely not going to happen.
I think it's fair that the dude does not get charged if it is an accident. It was at around 6:30pm when it happened so it is dark out. Although the person walking should always keep some sort of identification on him and pay more attention to the lights. Or where reflective tape, something so you can stay noticed especially if you are going to take a walk at night.

Outside reading:

I read an artical for outside reading from kare11 about a man talking a walk and twisted his ankle and could not get up to find help. He sat at a bottom of the hill for two days, he had a cell phone but it lost signal, but somehow a friend was able to call him so he was able to tell him where he was and call for help. The man suffered from sever frost bite on his feetsiez.
This story makes me scared to go on walks alone in the winter, because I would not want to get stranded out in the middle of nowhere in the cold. So always have a buddy with you when you go on walks.

Outside reading:

I read a news article on the kare11 webside about a family and friends making a giant snow man. They made a snow man last year measuring up to 13 feet, this years it measures to 18 feet high. They made it out of snow they saved and freezed from last years snow man, they also used shovels and buckets.
I think this was a great thing to do, it helps get the family more close and have fun with friends. It also brings you outside instead of sitting around inside; being a couch potato. :)

Another good song that I like to listen to is Human - The Killers
I'm going to take a swing at what it's about, I think it's about someone letting go, being free, thinking in a different perspective, and telling others to let him go, the person is all "grown up".
Human Lyrics

I did my best to notice
When the call came down the line
Up to the platform of surrender
I was brought but I was kind
And sometimes I get nervous
When I see an open door
Close your eyes
Clear your heart...
Cut the cord

Are we human?
Or are we dancer?
My sign is vital
My hands are cold
And I'm on my knees
Looking for the answer
Are we human?
Or are we dancer?

Pay my respects to grace and virtue
Send my condolences to good
Give my regards to soul and romance,
They always did the best they could
And so long to devotion
You taught me everything I know
Wave goodbye
Wish me well..
You've gotta let me go

Are we human?
Or are we dancer?
My sign is vital
My hands are cold
And I'm on my knees
Looking for the answer
Are we human?
Or are we dancer?

Will your system be alright
When you dream of home tonight?
There is no message we're receiving
Let me know is your heart still beating

Are we human?
Or are we dancer?
My sign is vital
My hands are cold
And I'm on my knees
Looking for the answer

You've gotta let me know

Are we human?
Or are we dancer?
My sign is vital
My hands are cold
And I'm on my knees
Looking for the answer
Are we human
Or are we dancer?

Are we human?
Or are we dancer?

Are we human
Or are we dancer?

A good song that I like to use for when I sleep (because it is peaceful and the dude's voice is calming) is The Postal Service - Such Great Heights
I think the song is about a couple that are perfect for each other because the lyrics talk about how everything they do is together and perfect'n stuff, miss eachother when gone.

I am thinking it's a sign that the freckles
In our eyes are mirror images and when
We kiss they're perfectly aligned

And I have to speculate that God himself
Did make us into corresponding shapes like
Puzzle pieces from the clay
And true, it may seem like a stretch, but
Its thoughts like this that catch my troubled
Head when you're away when I am missing you to death

When you are out there on the road for
Several weeks of shows and when you scan
The radio, I hope this song will guide you home

They will see us waving from such great
Heights, 'come down now,' they'll say
But everything looks perfect from far away,
'come down now,' but we'll stay...

I tried my best to leave this all on your
Machine but the persistent beat it sounded
Thin upon listening
And that frankly will not fly. You will hear
The shrillest highs and lowest lows with
The windows down when this is guiding you home

Another good song that I have been listening to is Dreams - The Cranberries
I think the song is about a person meeting some that they love oh so much, and that they trust them so much.

Oh my life is changing everyday
in every possible way
And oh my dreams
it's never quite as it seems
Never quite as it seems

I know I felt like this before
But now I'm feeling it even more
Because it came from you
Then I open up and see
The person falling here is me
A different way to be

I want more, impossible to ignore
Impossible to ignore
And they'll come true
impossible not to do
Impossible not to do

And now I tell you openly
You have my heart so don't hurt me
You’re what I couldn't find
A totally amazing mind
So understanding and so kind
You're everything to me

Oh my life is changing everyday
In every possible way
And oh my dreams
it's never quite as it seems
'cause you're a dream to me
Dream to me

I read a random poem I found online, I do not know who the poet is but I thought it was pretty funky. I think the writer is talking about having to shovel the driveway as a chore and there for is mad at it. But still thinks the snow is a beautiful sight and that it's so fresh and white that it hurts the eyes "blinded by beauty". :)

Snow

Let it snow, let it snow
bring me my shovel
so I can make a fluffy pile to jump to.

Push the snow away so we can stop slipping and sliding.
Away with you snow!
So fresh, so bright
A blinding sight.
It's a beautiful sight
but I must fight this wonderus fluff
So I can get my chore done.

I have been listening to the song Never Gonna Be Alone - Nickelback
I think the song is about someone almost losing someone that they really love, because it says they regret not being with them as much and stuff like that.
(Verse 1)
Time, is going by, so much faster than I,
And I'm starting to regret not spending all of here with you.
Now I'm, wondering why, I've kept this bottled inside,
So I'm starting to regret not selling all of it to you.
So if I haven't yet, I've gotta let you know...

(Chorus)
Never gonna be alone!
From this moment on, if you ever feel like letting go,
I won't let you fall...
Never gonna be alone!
I'll hold you 'til the hurt is gone.

(Verse 2)
And now, as long as I can, I'm holding on with both hands,
'Coz forever I believe that there's nothing I could need but you,
So if I haven't yet, I've gotta let you know...

(Chorus)
Never gonna be alone!
From this moment on, if you ever feel like letting go,
I won't let you fall.
When all hope is gone, I know that you can carry on.
We're gonna see the world out,
I'll hold you 'til the hurt is gone.

(Verse 3)
Ooooh!
You've gotta live every single day,
Like it's the only one, what if tomorrow never comes?
Don't let it slip away,
Could be our only one, you know it's only just begun.
Every single day,
Maybe our only one, what if tomorrow never comes?
Tomorrow never comes...

(Verse 4)
Time, is going by, so much faster than I,
And I'm starting to regret not telling all of this to you.

I'm gonna be there always,
I won't be missing a word all day,
I'm gonna be there always,
I won't be missing a word all day.
